'We are All stories’ is a series of 10 collaborative short films. A variety of talented individuals from wildly different backgrounds work with an animator and director to bring their unique stories to life. Exploring their own personality and storytelling techniques the series illustrates purpose and passion with an inner drive that inspires each and everyone of us.

Taster

Our brief was to deliver 9 short films, each with their own unique approach and unconventional format. Working with producers ‘Clingfilm TV’ and 'Red Bull TV’ we were pointed in the direction of the talent, partnered with a live action director and would collaborate on story and style, all while seamlessly building the animation directly into their stories.

Our Solution began being involved in the initial development of each film. Collaborating and producing animation techniques that intertwined with the editorial content. Developing mood boards and style frames we were able to ensure everyone was working from the same idea. Being involved across all films allowed us to take a step back and visualise the whole series.

We also directed episode 10 ‘Laura Dekker’ the youngest solo voyager to travel around the world. This enabled us to understand the workflow and the difficulties in production, from signing off processes to extracting the story from the talent that would resonate on camera.

Our Outcome produced an original commission for Redbull TV with audiences enjoying the non-conventional experimental format and embracing the diversity of the stories. Involved from concept to delivery, the entire series went through our studio and unlocked the imagination of the storytelling.

Episode 10 - Laura Dekker

We also had the opportunity to direct Episode 10 — Laura Dekker

Imagine being alone for 14 days in the middle of the Indian Ocean with no wind to fill your sails. You simple have no choice but to wait. Laura Dekker is the youngest solo sailer to circumnavigate the world and we were lucky enough to share her story. This trail blazing individual has certainly inspired us to have some patience.
